Alton�s sugar snowflake cookies

Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • tsp Baking powder
  • tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 3 tbsp Meringue powder
  • 6 tbsp Water, plus more to thin
  • Powdered sugar, for rolling out dough

Instructions

  • Beat sugar and butter until fluffy
  • Once fluffy add in milk and egg.
  • Once fully incorporated add baking powder and flour.
  • Roll the dough and cut into desired shape and bake in 180�c oven until golden
  • Mix meringue powder with water and add desired colouring
  • Decorate the cookies and let it dry for at least 1 hour.
