Start reheating your oven to 176�C.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugars and egg until smooth using an electric beater.
Add the flour, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, salt and baking soda into the bowl. Beat on low speed until it�s combined well.
Pour and mix in the cereal flakes, rolled oats and dried cranberries. Because the dough will be stiff, you may need to do it by hand; otherwise, beat on low speed with an electric mixer until well mixed.
Line a pan with a baking sheet, drop 2-tablespoon portions onto a baking sheet, spacing them at least 2 inches apart. Slightly flatten each ball.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden and then let it cool on a cooling rack.
