Ever since the official announcement of the Menu Rahmah Program, a lot of restaurants, including fast food outlets like Marrybrown and Burger King and hypermarkets like Mydin, have already started offering budget-friendly RM5 meals to provide meals for individuals from the B40 income group.
Sarasera Homestay, a homestay in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, announced on their Facebook page that they offer a special package named “Inap Rahmah” for only RM5 per night for those within the B40 community.
You read it right! Only RM5 per night for a fully air-conditioned house with 4 bedrooms, a private pool, a large garden, a BBQ pit, WiFi, and Astro.
Nurul Himmah Muhammad Kamaruzzaman, the owner of Sarasera Homestay, told Malaysia Gazette that she wanted to offer the package to support the government’s initiative to help the underprivileged, especially the B40 community in Malaysia.
She hopes that her small effort can give significant meaning to individuals who dream of spending a night with their families in a luxurious homestay with a swimming pool, all at a price of RM5 per night.
Sarasera Homestay started operating in January with a starting price of RM650 per night on weekdays and RM750 per night on public holidays and weekends.
Hence “Inap Rahmah” initiative allows guests to enjoy up to 99% off the homestay’s original price!
However, this offer is only available on weekdays from February to March, subject to availability and fulfilment of certain conditions.
One of the conditions to entitle to the “Inap Rahmah” is to submit your income document so that the effort reaches the right target group.
The intention is to have large families enjoy the private swimming pool while having a BBQ to strengthen family ties.
