During the flight, the passenger, Edward Yong, shared on Facebook about feeling embarrassed due to the condition of the plane’s seats, which were held together with tape.

The passenger was particularly concerned about the impression it might give to foreign visitors, who may perceive the use of tape as a sign of backwardness in the country they were heading to, Malaysia.

It’s also worth noting that this was an international flight, which has heightened the concern over using tape to hold the seats together.
