The Man of Steel is back! Henry Cavill recently announced his return as Superman, and fans have been on cloud nine ever since!

Babble out and blab out! Henry Cavill is officially returning as Superman. The actor finally made the theories come to light as he said that his recent cameo in the movie Black Adam is just the beginning.
Dwayne Johnson, the main character of the new DC superhero movie, Black Adam, proudly mentioned before the movie premiere that Henry Cavill will appear as Superman in the mid-credit scene, though his cameo is uncredited in the movie.
Cavill then officially announced his return as Superman on his Instagram account.

“A very small taste of what’s to come, my friends. The dawn of hope renewed. Thank you for your patience, it will be rewarded. #Superman” is the caption he included along with the message to his loyal fans.
“I wanted to make it official that I am back as Superman and the image you see in this post and what you saw in Black Adam are a very small taste of what’s to come,” Cavill says. He also took some time to thank the fans for their constant support and promised that it will all be “rewarded.”

Cavill was portrayed as Superman 3 times, once in his solo movie, Man of Steel, released in 2013, followed by two follow-up movies directed by Zack Snyder, 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017’s Justice League. According to recent reports, the news of a Superman sequel starting no other than Cavill is already in the works.
While the rumours about Cavill’s comeback have been cleared, Johnson’s entry into the DCEU marks a new direction for DC under Warner Bros. Discovery. Reports stated that choosing a high-profile superhero character like Superman would be one of the goals of the new owners, while Johnson has been drawing attention to play up the Black Adam vs Superman possibility during the press tours.
The JSA is also introduced as a new superhero team in the DC cinematic world in Black Adam. Along with the distinct ongoing storylines of Shazam, Aquaman, and whatever future world alterations may follow The Flash, this might all point to a new status quo for the DCEU.
