Great news for the youth, as the government announced the initiative of the eBeliaRahmah programme, providing an RM200 e-wallet credit.

The eBeliaRahmah programme is a government initiative announced under the Budget 2023 by the Ministry of Finance. It aims to foster a cashless payment culture among youths while alleviating the financial burden of youths and full-time IPT students.
Who can claim?
The program is expected to benefit approximately 2 million Malaysian youths by offering an RM200 eBeliaRahmah credit that can be used for physical purchases through selected e-wallet service providers.
Eligibility criteria:
- Malaysian citizens aged between 18 to 20 years in the year 2023 (born between 2003 and 2005)
- Enrolled as full-time students before 30th April 2023, with no age limit, at the diploma level or SKM4 and above at registered Higher Education Institutions (“IPT”)
How to redeem?
Here are the steps to apply for and redeem the eBeliaRahmah credit:
- Download one of the e-wallet platforms available on Apple Store, Google Playstore, or Huawei AppGallery, such as Boost, Setel, or Touch ‘n Go eWallet.
- Follow the instructions provided in the chosen e-wallet application, whether you are a new or existing user. The e-wallet service provider will perform electronic Know-Your-Customer (eKYC) identity verification.
- Fill in the required information on the eBeliaRahmah redemption page within the downloaded e-wallet application.
- Submit the information by pressing the “Submit” button.
- You will be notified of your claim status within 3 days.
Remember, eligible recipients can only claim the eBeliaRahmah credit once from one e-wallet service provider. Please refer to the specific e-wallet application for more information on redeeming the eBeliaRahmah credit.
When to redeem?
The registration and claiming period for eBeliaRahmah will start from 8:00 am on 26th June 2023 until 22nd August 2023, while the eBeliaRahmah credit and benefits from the involved e-wallet service providers can be spent offline until 31st August 2023.
