Netflix Malaysia announced that its Basic plan price has been reduced from RM35 to RM28 monthly. The revised pricing applies to new and existing customers.

The Basic plan enables users to watch and download movies or series in high-definition (HD) on only one supported device at a time.
This plan was introduced in Malaysia in 2016, where users could only stream content in 480p standard definition (SD), but Netflix already upgraded the resolution to 720p HD back in November.

Other monthly plans remain the same at their original pricing.

To prevent password sharing, the company has stated that a Netflix account should only be shared among individuals in the same household. Consequently, users not residing with the primary account holder must create their own account.
