Psst! Want to make sure your precious popiah stays crunchy after frying? Here are some tips for you to try out!
- Freeze the wrapped popiah before frying.
- Make sure your filling is chopped uniformly.
- Deep fry the popiah instead of shallow pan-frying.
- Drain out the water of your filling completely. (eg: from vegetables)
- Make sure the heat is high before frying. While frying, slow then the fire.
- After frying, make sure the popiah rolls have plenty of space to cool down.
- Prick small holes in the end of your rolls. (Allow draining of excess moisture)
