Mi Casa Café by the River is located within a hotel and has ample parking space. It offers a breathtaking view of the Kuantan River which looks especially stunning at night. The food is delicious with a spicy and flavorful taste that suits my preference. Although the price for the foods and drinks are not cheap, but are not overly expensive since it is appropriate for the environment. The live music adds to the lovely ambiance makes it a great place to hang out with family.

Muar E Kopitiam is a popular breakfast spot in Kuantan. The wholemeal toast and hot drinks especially the Muar E coffee and tea are highly recommended by their customers. The fried mee siam taste normal, but the portion size made up for it. They also had a special dish of the day, Nasi Dagang, which was fish curry served with rice steamed in coconut milk. The food was decent, but not outstanding. There was ample parking available right up front and the atmosphere was casual and airy.

Hoi Yin is a traditional spot serves up a tasty curry noodle with a light yet flavorful broth. You have the option to choose from yellow noodles, flat noodles, bee hoon or a mixture of them. Soy sauce noodles (mee kicap) with curry broth and soup noodles are also available in small, large, or special sizes with different condiments provided. Half-boiled eggs and additional cockles can be added as well. Finding an available table during peak hours between 8-11 am can be challenging, but the tables at the back of the restaurant are available if you go inside and past the kitchen and stewarding area.
