Rio Takahashi, a Japanese landscape architect, designed the Titiwangsa Lake Gardens in 1980 to relieve congestion at the Perdana Botanical Garden in downtown Kuala Lumpur. The vast Titiwangsa Park and a picturesque lake left over from tin-mining activity during the British colonial era are the main attractions, occupying over 95 hectares. They also have horseback riding, cycling and rollerblading.
