Ocean Green is a beachfront Hainanese-run seafood restaurant popular with both Penang residents and foreign visitors. Lim Ming Chiau owns it, and his father created the Paramount Hotel, a reasonably retro-looking villa-style bed-and-breakfast establishment founded in 1946. They are offering “Choon Phneah,” a Hainanese-style popiah. In contrast to regular spring rolls, they are colossal meat and veggie-loaded spring rolls.
