People who don’t like beach camping should go next door to Captain’s Longhouse. It is one of the only other low-cost options on Kapas Island. Try to stay here for one night and have a pleasant experience. They have double private rooms as well as a large dorm room. The listed price for a dorm bed is 40 MYR, but you can quickly negotiate it down to 30 MYR.
There are both private rooms and dorm beds available. They have an open kitchen for breakfast. Other meals must be obtained by walking to the island’s other restaurants. Outside, there are hammocks where you can lie down all day. Because Captain Longhouse is at the far end of the island, the beachfront is almost deserted, especially when compared to the main beach near the jetty.

9. Hiking At Bukit Singa
Besides snorkelling and kayaking, hiking at Bukit Singa (Lion’s Hill) is one of the best things to do on Kapas Island. This popular hiking spot in Pulau Kapas is ideal for beginners, surrounded by cliffs and coastal rocks. While some staircase sections have also collapsed due to the high waves, the walk to Bukit Singa requires you to walk along the coastal rocks, wade through waist-deep water, or slide down the steep trails.
To avoid scratches, wear a pair of work gloves just in case. There are no clear directions, so your guide’s knowledge is handy. When you arrive at your destination, take a photo of Bukit Singa! The lion’s head formation is not visible from the peak but is said to be more visible from the side. Nonetheless, the South China Sea’s vast landscape is breathtaking. Kapas Turtle Valley is one of the beaches of the Kampung Rhu Muda settlement, located only 5.4 kilometres from its centre. The beach is in the middle of a city, surrounded by mountains and cliffs. The vibrant coral reef directly in front of Turtle Valley is breathtaking.
