We got the chance to experience the well-loved Genting SkyWorlds, and we are more than happy to share our favourite attractions, rides and experiences while at this famous theme park!

Genting SkyWorlds, the highly anticipated theme park, finally opened its doors to the public in February 2022. This theme park has received a lot of attention nationwide and worldwide ever since its announcement. Especially Malaysians who grew up being fond of the old Genting Outdoor Theme Park.

The brand-new theme park is home to as many as 9 uniquely themed worlds spreading over 26 acres of land. Explore a wide range of international-class movie-themed rides and attractions suitable for all, regardless of age!
Genting SkyWorlds has several zones, also known as “worlds”, and each one of them has its own unique vibes and houses a great selection of rides, attractions and dining and retail shops all across the world. Want to know which are our favourite areas in the theme park? We are here to provide some insights and our experiences about most of the world, so you can plan your visit accordingly!
Before that, here are some life-saving tips to save your time!
Download the Genting SkyWorlds app before visiting, so you can link your ticket and hop on complimentary ride reservations for specific time slots. This is the life-saving feature you want to take full advantage of as it saves us so much time getting stuck in long lines.
You can literally skip the queue by heading to the VQ reservation lane on every ride! The app also allows you to view the wait times of each ride to plan your route wisely.

Let’s Explore Our Favourite Worlds!
Central Park
Central Park is the buzzing town square that welcomed us the moment we stepped in. This is the home of world-class attractions, dining, retails and live entertainment. Besides, the focal point of this world is the extraordinary Lake of Dreams, where you can get mesmerised by the spectacular fountain shows scheduled throughout the day! Many attractions are waiting to be explored for memory-lasting moments, such as ESD Global Defender, Night at The Museum: Midnight Mayhem, and Independence Day: Defiance.
If you want to start slow, Central Park Gardens is where you need to be! We enjoyed the cold breeze and greenery scenery as we strolled around this charming garden.
Unfortunately, ESD Global Defender was closed that day, so we did not manage to experience this extreme ride, but we heard that this ride is designed with heart-pounding twists and turns as riders take flight and soar through the skies!

Andromeda Base
If you are a huge thrill-seeker, then you will totally love Andromeda Base! This thrilling galactic escapade is where you put your heart and strength to the test. We got to ride on the Alpha Fighter Pilots, a space battle stimulation that spins 360 degrees, as we were tested physically and mentally!
We were sad that the other two attractions, Boot Camp Training and Terraform Tower Challenge, were closed on our visit. Even so, we read that both attractions are designed perfectly for people that love outdoor and thrilling activities!

Liberty Lane
Liberty Lane, inspired by the streets of San Francisco, is the place to be if you have a thriving neighbourhood lined with unique stores, food stores and an exciting attraction – Invasion of the Planet of the Apes, a first-in-the-world designed only for this long-awaited theme park.

We tried this 3D indoor ride, and it was honestly one of the best rides we experienced! It is ideal for people who love pulse-pounding and scary rides, as it features Caesar and other iconic primates battling for survival. Every rider also needs to wear a 3D spectacle to be able to enjoy the game. We also enjoyed strolling through the streets among vibrant-coloured buildings.

Rio
Rio is filled with eye-catching buildings and fun samba music, giving off the bright and festive vibes of an endless summer party! We waltzed through the bustling neighbourhood of Santa Teresa, where fun and excitement meet. Get ready to experience three entertaining rides here – Blue Sky Carousel, Samba Gliders and Rio Carnaval Chaos!

We only managed to get on the popular Samba Gliders, one of our many favourites in Genting SkyWorlds. As we experienced the view sights from 65 feet above on this daring hang glider, it definitely left us with the ultimate bird’s-eye view of every crook and nook of Rio!

Epic
Similar to Rio, this is another world in Genting SkyWorlds that brings out our inner child. Epic is a secret magical kingdom with whimsical vibes and magical decorations and props, including huge birds and oversized plants that make us feel pint-sized, just like the movie characters. There are two family-friendly attractions you can hop on, such as Epic Voyage to Moonhaven and Epic Hummingbird Flyers.
At first, this world was closed, so we explored other worlds and returned after it finally opened. We were thrilled we did because of how stunningly decorated the world is! It made us feel so tiny as we ventured further down this magical kingdom. There are also various aesthetically pleasing photo-taking spots, allowing you to step up your Instagram game!

Robots Rivet Town
Do you remember the movie Robots? Robots Rivet Town is Genting SkyWorlds’ world dedicated to the Robot City! Let your imagination take off as you ride on the two exciting, family-friendly rides in the area! This world gave off serious movie-like vibes as it boasts colourful buildings just like the ones in the movie we watched when we were little.
This world has two rides, and we hopped on both of them, Bigweld’s Zeppelins, a mild ride perfectly enjoyed by families with young children or those who faint of heart. We flew high and experienced the incredible panoramic views of the Robots Rivet Town.
If you are looking for something more extreme in this world, The Rivet Town Roller is the best choice! We needed to hold as tight as we could as each capsule took us on an exhilarating topsy-turvy route!

Ice Age
Wishing to know what it is like living in a pre-historic period? Are you a fan of the Ice Age movies? Ice Age is the place to be, filled with attractions inspired by the globally recognised franchise! It also houses four different rides and attractions such as Ice Age: Expedition Thin Ice, Acorn Adventure, Sid’s Rock ‘N’ Slide and Mammoth Fun Zone.

Acorn Adventure is a popular ride sought-after by visitors but we got the chance to hop on this ride! We were ready for a nutty adventure on this action-packed rollercoaster as we climbed as high as 65 feet before making a splash as twists and turns took us around an icy waterfall. Before the ride started, we were advised not to bring any valuable items to prevent falling. If you bring a bag, you must put it inside a locker available in the area.

Calling out all Ice Age movies fans! The Ice Age: Expedition Thin Ice will surely make you feel delighted as you join Sid and the herd on a journey through icy caverns and more to save lost campers of Campo De Sid. Living up to its name, this ride will be cold and breezy, so it is recommended to wear outerwear before hopping on. No photography is allowed during the ride, and the queue may be long at times, but each ride will fit 8 people.

We also explored the frosty playground, Mammoth Fun Zone, which left us feeling like little children as we turned into high-energy explorers, traversing through the attraction and admiring dinosaur skeleton replicas.

Reminder for all that if the weather is not good, some of the games will be temporarily closed for the safety of visitors! So, remember to check the forecast before booking a ticket to get the most out of your visit!

Overall, Genting SkyWorlds is a place where you can experience a variety of attractions and rides in a breezy environment without worrying about being drenched even after riding many rides!

Is the ticket worth buying? Yes! However, you are recommended to go with an even-number group of people, so you do not have to ride alone or get separated from your friends.
