As issued by the Prime Minister and Finance Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, during the second reading of the Supply Bill 2024 (Belanjawan 2024), eMADANI is an initiative that targets a total of 10 million eligible adults for the B40 and M40 categories, who will benefit from a one-time RM100 e-wallet credit under this programme.

What is eMADANI?
According to Kementerian Kewangan, eMADANI, a government initiative aimed at eligible beneficiaries with an annual income below RM100,000, is set to benefit approximately 10 million Malaysians.
The programme offers a one-time e-wallet credit of RM100, accessible for purchases in physical stores through participating e-wallet service providers.
When Will You Able to Redeem the RM100 eMADANI?
Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the registration and claim period for eMadani will start at 8:00 am on 4th December 2023 and remain open until 11.59 pm on 20th February 2024.
Participants can choose from participating e-wallet service providers for the registration process. The eMADANI credit and associated benefits offered by the chosen e-wallet service providers can be utilised for offline transactions until 29th February 2024.
Who Are Eligible to Claim RM100 eMADANI?
eMADANI can be claimed by these groups of people:
- Malaysian citizenship, aged 21 years and above, as of 1st January 2023
- Recipients of Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) based on records as of 7th November 2023
- Annual income not exceeding RM100,000, verified through the Inland Revenue Board’s (IRB) records as of 15th July 2023
From Which e-Wallet Service Providers Can You Claim eMADANI?
Participation in this programme involves four e-wallet service providers:
- MAE
- Setel
- ShopeePay
- Touch ‘n Go eWallet
Alongside the Government’s RM100 e-wallet credit, these providers are offering extra incentives in the form of vouchers, cashback, discounts, or reward points throughout the duration of the programme.
How to Claim RM100 eMADANI?
To claim RM100 eMADANI, eligible individuals can register and submit their claims through participating e-wallet service providers. Here are the step-by-step guide on how to claim:
1. MAE

Step 1: Open the MAE app
Step 2: Tap on the ‘eMADANI’ icon on the main page
Step 3: Enter all information needed and tap ‘Submit’
Step 4: You will receive a notification when your eMADANI RM100 redemption is successful
2. Setel

Step 1: Initiate the account verification process
Step 2: On the eMADANI website, complete and submit the claim application
Step 3: You will receive the incentive within 5 working days if the claim is approved
3. ShopeePay

Step 1: Activate and verify your ShopeePay Premium account using your NRIC
Step 2: Claim eMADANI starting from 4th December onwards and unlock additional rewards
4. Touch ‘n Go eWallet

How Can You Use RM100 eMADANI?
The RM100 eMADANI exclusively applies to physical QR code payments at any merchant nationwide, encompassing DuitNow QR code merchants affiliated with participating banks and eWallets.
However, it is important to note that the RM100 eMADANI cannot be utilised for the following transactions:
- Cash-outs
- Peer-to-peer transfers
- App-integrated payment of utility bills
- App-integrated payment of government-related fees/payments
- App-integrated payment of telco postpaid bills and prepaid service top-ups
- App-integrated games purchases
- App-integrated parking and/or toll fee payments
- App-integrated investment-related activities
- Cross-border QR transactions
