Located in Jalan Kebun, Shah Alam, Nasi Lemak Gebu (NLG) opened its door in early 2019 by Husaini Bin Mustapha.

This business was first a side income for him where he would sell Nasi Lemak from 8 pm until 11 pm after coming home from work at 6 pm.
In September 2019, something unexpected happened to him. This production manager was dismissed by his previous company due to disclosed issues.
Husaini did not give up and grabbed the chance to be a full-timer Nasi Lemak seller as he already knew the basic knowledge of how to manage a business.

Why does it call Nasi Lemak Gebu? It is to make people remember the place due to its unique and catchy name.
Nasi Lemak Gebu’s target audiences are those who tend to get home late from work and who are lazy to cook breakfast or dinner. It is also appropriate to be enjoyed by prominent families due to its low price.

The Nasi Lemak will be packed at the location to preserve its freshness, preventing it from becoming soggy or unappetising to be eaten.

Nasi Lemak Gebu’s speciality is the ‘sambal’ which is homemade with Husaini’s recipe. It has a distinctively spicy taste with a dash of sweet to balance out the spiciness and is loved by loyal customers.
One of the things that will make Husaini happy is whenever his customers ask for extra ‘sambal’, and he willingly gives it to them without charging any money.

Besides that, several ‘lauk’ are available to be chosen based on your preference: Ayam Crispy, Sotong Sambal, Fried Egg and Kerang Sambal. Remember that once you add the side dish, the price will not be RM1 anymore.

He promises not to change the price as it is what the stall is known for, selling delicious and luscious Nasi Lemak at RM 1.
If you wonder why Husaini decided to sell the Nasi Lemak at a lower price, it is because he wishes people would have an easy option to eat this iconic meal any time of the month. It is also because all races in Malaysia consume Nasi Lemak, making it easier to sell.

Just look at how many Nasi Lemak you can get at only RM1! Let’s not forget the complete ingredients of what each Nasi Lemak should have, such as peanuts, anchovies, boiled egg and cucumber.
Nasi Lemak Gebu is also available for catering and self-pickup but remember to call the number below to make a reservation. You can also enjoy this flavourful Nasi Lemak at home by ordering it via GrabFood or ShopeeFood.
