Even though we often hear about unique-themed hotels overseas, Malaysia also surprisingly has its fair share of one-of-a-kind and wonderful hotels.

A TikTok video posted by @/amirulfirdaus96 showed a prison-themed hotel room in Johor that got people’s attention due to its unique appearance.
He was seen checking into ‘Hotel Impi Yan’ in Desaru, Johor, with companions and was caught off guard by the look of the room he booked!

The room comes with a bunk bed, a bathroom, and a TV but is styled to look like a prison!
The fun part is it even comes with makeshift prison bars designed to slide open the room and barbed wires on top to stop “inmates” from escaping.

The hotel went all out by providing the infamous orange prison jumpsuits that criminals must wear in prison! The hotel owner’s imaginative ideas are perfect for attracting more visitors!

The TikTok video went viral, where the locals shared their joy and love with the creativity of the hotel. It currently has 1.6 million views on the platform.

If the prison theme is not your thing, worry not! Based on Hotel Impi Yan’s Facebook page, the hotel has other rooms with different themes.

The bund bed room comes with a prison theme, while the quad bed room has a musical theme, perfect for a bunch of friends travelling together.
However, if you travel with a big family, the hotel also has a king bed room with 2 unique themes, consisting of luxury and Japanese themes.
The fun does not end there! Get ready to be spoilt with choices, as the queen bed has up to 6 exciting themes to be picked from based on your preference.
The themes for the queen bed room are:

This hotel is perfect for those bored with the same old hotel look! What are you waiting for? Book the theme that catches your attention and experience the unique hotel with your family or friends!
