Eggless Butter Cake

A butter cake is a cake in which one of the main ingredients is butter. Butter cake is baked with basic ingredients: butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and leavening agents such as baking powder or baking soda. It is considered as one of the quintessential cakes in American baking.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • A pinch Salt
  • 2 tsp Milk
  • 1/2 1/2 Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 Maida Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda

Instructions

Steps:

  • Sift maida/flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt together and mix.
  • In another bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
  • Then mix the dry ingredients and yogurt gradually. add milk and vanilla extract and mix well.
  • Brush oil on mould and place baking paper. Pour the batter and smoothen the surface. steam the mould inside a 5-7 minutes preheat curry pan in low medium heat for 35-40 minutes. For the oven, bake at 180c preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
