How To Bake Using Paper Towels

Ever heard of someone mentioning baking using a paper towel? Well, I have not heard this from any of my friends and family who bake. But I tried baking using a paper towel on one fine day and coincidentally I ran out of parchment paper and aluminium foil. I did not have enough time to get it from the bakery stores as I was rushing to get my cookies baked for an event.

And suddenly I decided to try using a paper towel and it actually works! My cookie did not stick onto the paper towels and it came off easily.

So all in all, yes! You can actually bake using paper towels but there are a few things you might want to take note of.

  • Paper towel is one of the options you can use for your baking IF you run out of parchment paper or aluminium foil.
  • It is a life saver for those who are doing last minute baking or couldn’t find any parchment paper at a nearby store.
  • Be very sure you are using a paper towel instead of tissue rolls.
  • Avoid baking above 190c as there is a possibility it might catch on fire. Just keep an eye on your oven if you were to use paper towels to bake.

I would only suggest this baking hack if there isn’t any option left for you to bake your baked goods. You do not want to bake it suddenly catches fire in your kitchen. So to stay on the safe side, always keep extra baking parchment papers or aluminium foils in your home.
