Tips on How to Clean out Your Microwave!

Ah, microwave. The little magic box that heats up our food and makes it better, but do you remember the last time you cleaned up your microwave? Your microwave has definitely gone through so much more than your oven so let’s take care of that with some of these easy steps to clean and even remove the odor!

Now, there are various ingredients you can use to clean your microwave with. For this trick, grab a lemon!

  1. Grab a microwave-safe bowl and fill it with water halfway.
  2. Squeeze out the lemon into the bowl and slice it up before putting them into the bowl.
  3. Put it in the microwave and leave it to heat in the microwave for 5 minutes.
  4. Once the 5 minutes are up, let it sit in the microwave for about 2 minutes. This is to make sure the steam/heat doesn’t leave the microwave.
  5. After that, proceed to wipe down the microwave easily with a clean cloth. Makes the job easier as you don’t have to endure the hardship of trying to scrub everything in there. The lemon definitely left a lemony scent in the microwave!

Don’t have any lemons at home? Baking soda can help you out as well! Just follow these exact same steps:

  3. Put it in the microwave and leave it to heat in the microwave for 5 minutes.
