2. Taiping Zoo
The Taiping Zoo is a zoological park located at Bukit Larut, Taiping, Perak. The zoo is located in a natural setting within the Taiping Lake Gardens. It was established in 1961 and remains the oldest zoo in Malaysia to date. 3. Perak Museum
The Perak Museum is a public museum located at the junction of Jalan Muzium and Jalan Taming Sari in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. It is the first and oldest museum in Malaysia and was founded by Sir Hugh Low. Here, you can find geological, botanical, and enthamobological collections. To date, the number of collections has increased to a total number of 8,474, consisting of 5,074 cultural collections, 523 nature collections, and 2,877 miscellaneous collections, including archaeological items.

The WonderFarm Mushroom is a mushroom farm. At the farm, there is a guided tour available, where the guide will teach you the correct method of planting an organic mushroom. 8. Taiping War Cemetery
The Taiping War Cemetery is a historical site located 2 kilometers south of the town, past Taiping Garden, on the road to the waterfall and swimming pool. The cemetery was created by the Army after Japan’s defeat and is the final resting place for Allied personnel killed during World War II. Servicemen who died after the war or during their posting in northern Malaya before the Malayan Emergency are also interred here.
