Nothing brings out the Christmas spirit like some good old Shepherd’s Pie. Whether you’re throwing a Christmas party or just in love with it, here’s an easy recipe for you to bake some! I’m sure your family and friends will gobble up this pie!

Shepherd’s Pie Colavita
Ingredients
Mashed Potato
- 1 kg Russet Potato
- 200 g
Cream - 100 g
Colavita Olive oil - ½ packet Thyme
- 4 nos Garlic Clove
- A pinch
Salt
Fillings
- 150 g
Colavita Olive oil - 7 nos Garlic Clove
- 100 g Diced Onion
- 1 tbsp Tomato Puree
- 50 g Peas
- 250 g Minced Lamb or Chicken
- 1 tbsp Thyme/ Sage
- 1 tbsp
Colavita Olive oil - 1 tbsp A pinch
Salt - 2 cups Stock
- ½ cup Worcestershire Sauce
Instructions
Mashed Potato
- Boil Potato and mash it
- Add cream
- Add mince garlic, Colavita Olive Oil and thyme.
- Mix it together then set aside
Fillings
- Add Colavita Olive Oil and saute garlic, onion,. Dried oregano, tomato paste/ puree until fragrant.
- Add in minced protein and cook until it is golden brown.
- Add thyme and sage.
- Add in tomato puree, thyme/ sage and black pepper
- Cook until fragrant and add the sauce and stock.
- Cook until thicken and add peas.
Assemble
- Put the fillings at the bottom of oven proof bowl
- Top it off with the mashed potato
- scar it with a fork and brush it with the egg wash
- Bake in 200c oven until golden brown.
- Let it set for a while and it is ready to be served.
